Broken fence grant scheme opens to Isle of Man farmers

A grant scheme aimed at helping Manx farmers fix broken fences after heavy snowfall in March, has been opened to applications.

The Isle of Man government's farm and horticultural improvement scheme is due to close at 16:00 BST on 10 May.

A spokesman said applications could be made online, external.

Agriculture minister Phil Gawne said fence maintenance was now a priority for the safety of livestock and road users.
