Isle of Man 2.2% electricity price rise takes effect

  • Published

A 2.2% rise in annual electricity charges to Manx Utilities Authority (MUA) customers has come into effect.

The increase will mean the average customer on the Isle of Man will pay an extra £24 a year for electricity.

Manx Utilities customers will also pay around £12 a year more on their water rates.

The MUA was formed on 1 April 2014 following the merger of the Manx Electricity Authority and the Isle of Man Water & Sewerage Authority.
