Isle of Man TT 2015: Man who 'entered TT course' sought
- Published
A man who allegedly entered the TT course during a race, narrowly missing some of the leading riders, is being sought by police in the Isle of Man.
Officers said he walked on to the road on Bray Hill in Douglas at about 18:40 BST on Monday in the Supersport race.
Bikers reach speeds in excess of 150mph on the downhill section of the course which follows the start/finish straight on Glencrutchery Road.
The alleged incident happened at the start of the second lap of the race.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police headquarters in Douglas.
The alleged incident happened a day after a man from Bristol, who also walked on closed roads, was jailed for eight weeks and banned from the Isle of Man.
David Seager, 47, appeared at Douglas Courthouse charged with a public disorder offence and being on a closed road.
Police said such anti-social behaviour would "not be tolerated".
Inspector Derek Flint said: "We will do everything in our power to ensure the marshals' difficult job is supported."
Police issued a warning after a video - widely shared on social media - showed several spectators at the TT races "wandering" around on the closed roads.
A spokesman said: "If a road is closed it's a race track - if you take the risk, you could be looking at a prison sentence."
