Douglas carnival: Thousands attend capital's celebration

Thousands of people attended the carnival in its first year in 2014
Several thousand people attended the second Douglas carnival on the Isle of Man.
The event began on Douglas promenade at 19:00 BST on Saturday with a parade of floats involving 500 people.
Organiser Michelle O'Malley said it was an "action-packed evening" which "attracting thousands of people to the promenade area".
Douglas promenade was closed to all traffic between 18:30 and 21:30.
The carnival included floats, bands, dance groups and decorated vehicles, along with many other "participants and performers".

More than 500 people took part in event's main parade along Douglas promenade.

Hospice again held their colour run to entertain the crowds.
