Household water and sewerage charges are set to rise by an average of about £34 per year from April, the Manx Utilities Authority (MUA) has said.

The average homeowner on the Isle of Man will pay an extra £26.24 for water and £7.64 on sewerage annually.

Electricity prices for 2017/18 will remain the same as will the charge for emptying septic tanks for those not on mains sewerage.

The MUA has around 49,000 customers on the Isle of Man.

It was formed on 1 April 2014 following the merger of the Manx Electricity Authority and the Isle of Man Water & Sewerage Authority.
