Isle of Man: Mountain Road reopens following snow closure
- Published

The wintry conditions hit the island throughout the morning
The A18 Mountain Road on the Isle of Man has reopened after being closed due to snow, police have said.
The force shut the road for several hours earlier after crashes in the wintry conditions.
Two roads adjoining the mountain, Ben Y Phott Road and Thoilt Y Will, have also reopened.
Police have warned motorists about large amounts of standing water on the carriageway and near-freezing conditions on the mountain.
Other parts of the island have been hit by heavy rain leading to a risk of localised flooding in some areas.

Two roads leading onto the Mountain Road have also now reopened
