Suspected heroin weighing 4.4lb (2kg) was seized in the haul of class A drugs

Three people have been charged with serious drugs offences after Class A drugs with a street value of up £750,000 were seized by Manx police.

A spokeswoman said the "significant amount" was "single largest seizure" of suspected heroin and cocaine in the Isle of Man Constabulary's history.

The seizure came after four people were arrested in Douglas on Sunday.

Two local men and a man from Merseyside will appear at Douglas Courthouse on Wednesday.

A fourth man has been released on bail as investigations continue, the police spokeswoman said.
