A section of path has collapsed at Glen Maye

Part of a footpath in a Manx glen has been closed after a small landslip made it "very unsafe", the government has said.

Access to a stretch of the lower path in Glen Maye has been shut off.

A Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture (Defa) spokesman said it meant there was "no through access from the bottom entrance".

Although the lower paddock remained open, the path beyond the bridge was not accessible, he said.

Those using the glen were urged to "respect all barriers and safety signage", he added.

A loop through the glen is still possible via the top entrance and upper paths.
