Biking Santas raise £65k for children’s hospice in charity ride out

Hundreds of bikers have taken part in a festive ride out raising £65,000 for the Isle of Man's children's hospice.

The annual Santa’s on a Bike event saw scores of motorcycles line up at the start line at the TT Grandstand, despite heavy rain and blustery conditions.

The procession travelled to Peel in the west of the island, before heading back to Rebecca House in Braddan.

Nicola Patterson from Plan.com, which organised the event, said the total had already exceeded the £50,000 collected for last year’s event, where funds were raised even though the event was cancelled due to icy roads.
