Manx drivers warned about road resurfacing disruption

Commuters have been warned to expect disruption for three weeks as part of a major route into the Manx capital is resurfaced.
Work at Braddan Bridge is due to start on Wednesday and continue until 31 January.
Peel Road from the junction with Braddan Road to the Braddan Church roundabout will be one-way to east-bound traffic on weekdays.
The whole section of road will be closed at weekends.
The Department of Infrastructure said the full closure was needed to allow for resurfacing at the Jubilee Oak.
Work on the project is expected to take place seven days a week.
Traffic heading out of the capital will be diverted from Quarterbridge Roundabout through the Isle of Man Business Park back to the western side of Braddan Bridge.
Due to the increased traffic on the diversion route, parking on Saddle Road and Strang Road will be suspended for the duration of the scheme, the department said.
Walkers, equestrians and cyclists will be able to continue to use the heritage trail and TT Access Road between Quarterbridge and Braddan Bridge and emergency service vehicles will also be allowed access to that route.
