Snow on the Snaefell Mountain overnight has led to dangerous driving conditions

The main route between the north of the Isle of Man and its capital has been closed due to snow and ice.

The A18 Mountain Road was closed between Ramsey and the Creg ny Baa after the conditions became dangerous overnight, police said.

The Creg Ny Baa Back Road was also closed, as were the Sloc, South Barrule and the Round Table in the south.

Ronaldsway Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for snow and ice on the high ground until 15:00 GMT.
