'All systems go' for work on new Manx cancer support centre

Work on a new cancer support centre on the Isle of Man is “all systems go”, the president of the charity being the project has said.

A ceremonial "cutting of the sod" for the new Mannin Cancers Macmillan Support Centre marked the start of its construction on Wednesday.

David Gawne from the Mannin Cancers Support Group said the £2m hub would provide support and information to people following a diagnosis.

The facility, set to be built opposite the entrance to Noble's Hospital, is expected to open by Easter 2025.
