Jersey islanders urged to buy local food
- Published
Farmers and fishermen in Jersey have launched a campaign to encourage people to buy local.
A "Genuine Jersey" mark will be put on local produce in supermarkets and farm shops.
Genuine Jersey said that buying local would mean imports will be reduced, helping the environment.
Posters and flyers will be distributed across the island, bearing the faces of those who grow and catch seasonal produce.
