The Visit England assessors considered the overall experience for visitors

Five of Jersey's best known landmarks have been secretly assessed by leisure experts from the UK.

The sites, which are all run by Jersey Heritage, passed the standards set out by Visit England - the official tourist board for England.

Elizabeth Castle, Jersey Museum, Mont Orgueil, La Hougue Bie and the Maritime Museum were tested under the visitor attraction quality assurance scheme.

All the sites achieved the necessary standard to be accredited.

Assessors, who were considering the overall experience for visitors, looked at areas such as the cleanliness of toilet facilities, parking and the welcome by staff.
