Warning on Jersey £50m savings strategy
- Published
A panel that advises the Jersey States on economic matters has warned that plans to save £50m over the next three years may fail.
The Fiscal Policy Panel is made up of three independent experts who look at how the States uses money.
Its report says the Comprehensive Spending Review, a plan to make £50m of cuts, may not be wide-ranging enough.
The panel also says that tax increases should not harm the island's economic competitiveness.
