Jersey politicians vote to have their 2011 pay reviewed

Jersey politicians have voted to ask for their 2011 pay rise to be reconsidered by the states remuneration and review body.

The independent board had recommended the islands' politicians receive an £800 pay rise.

But members have now voted to ask them to reconsider the issue.

Constable Juliette Gallichan, head of privileges and procedures said the board had already made its decision.
