People living in parts of Africa and Asia which have been affected by natural disasters in the past month are to receive financial help from Jersey.
The island's Overseas Aid Commission is to send a total of £200,000 to five UK-based aid agencies to help people in Burma, Benin, Vietnam and Indonesia.
The money will provide food and water as well as hygiene and shelter kits.
The commission said it received lots of requests for help at this time of year because of global weather patterns.
