Former senator Stuart Syvret is bringing legal action against the States of Jersey

A decision on whether to throw out a case against the States of Jersey brought by former politician Stuart Syvret has been delayed.

Mr Syvret is taking legal action because he believes there was a conspiracy to have him dismissed from his post as Health Minister.

The Chief Minister applied to have the case thrown out of the Royal Court.

The Royal Court will now make the decision on 26 April.

This application for dismissal came following legal advice that said there was little chance of success.

Mr Syvret has been given until the end of February to file his response.
