Jersey politicians to examine spending cuts

  • Published

A further review of how Jersey's government intends to cut services and make savings is to be carried out.

A panel of politicians will examine how government departments will make savings of 3% next year and 5% the year after.

The savings are part of the comprehensive spending review launched by Jersey's treasury minister.

The panel will look at whether public services will be affected and how the plans affect taxes.

The savings identified will then form part of the States of Jersey business plans for 2012 and 2013.
