Jersey's finance regulator launches money website

The Jersey Financial Services Commission has launched a "protect your money" website.

It has advice on investing money and using financial services in Jersey.

The finance watchdog said the website explains the risks and opportunities associated with different types of investments and products.

The Jersey Financial Services Commission said the unbiased information could help create more knowledgeable and vigilant investors.

John Harris, Director General of the Commission, said he hoped scams and fraudulent investment schemes would be less likely to succeed.

He said the website would also provide consumers with tips about what to do and what to look out for when seeking financial advice.
