Jersey Airport 'should help disabled passengers'
- Published
Jersey Airport should be responsible for making sure staff are on hand to help disabled passengers, campaigners have said.
Currently it is up to airlines to look after travellers with disabilities.
Edward Trevor, from Shopmobility, said the island should follow European law and make the airport responsible for employing dedicated staff for the job.
The airport said its facilities meet disability standards and the majority of passengers have no problems.
Mr Trevor said in general the service for disabled travellers is good in Jersey.
But he said airlines need to make sure disabled passengers travelling on the early morning flights get assistance if the airport is short staffed.
