The eight musical acts that will compete for the chance to perform on the Jersey Live music festival with JT main stage have been announced.
The eight finalists are Brobots, Little Big Band, Pro Bono, Suit Alor, The Bloody Battle, The Hype, Hold Your Fire and The Reasons.
They will compete on Thursday 21 April for a chance to play alongside acts such as Madness and The Streets.
The winning acts will be chosen by Jersey Live festival organisers.
Two acts will make it through to the festival, each winning an opening slot on the main stage and a headline slot on the local Tease stage.
Jersey Live organiser, Warren Le Sueur, said: "We've been really pleased with the high standard of entrants for this year's competition, and I hope that our selections reflect that.
"It's a really diverse range of acts, and any one of them would be worthy and interesting additions to the Main Stage line up. It's always hard to pick a winner, and I'm sure it'll be harder than ever this time around."
The winner of the 2010 event, Annie Law from band Bones, said: "It's a really good opportunity to play such a professional gig. The sound was such good quality which was probably the best part of the experience.
"It was great meeting other bands and getting to know all about the side of playing live that you don't get to see often at all."
The event, at the Havana Club in St Helier will be hosted by BBC Introducing in Jersey presenter Ryan Morrison.
A number of acts have been confirmed for Jersey Live, taking place in the first weekend of September at the RJA&HS Showground in Trinity.
Confirmed artists so far include Madness, Plan B, The Streets, Zane Lowe, Mr Oizo, Katy B and Ed Sheeran.
