Jersey's Highlands College expands degree courses

More degree courses are to be run by Highlands College in Jersey because of a "growing demand" for higher education.
The college said it was expending its business and finance programmes.
From September, it will offer a new foundation degree in accounting and finance and a foundation in business management.
College principal Ed Sallis said the courses would give students the chance to study while working in industry.
Last year the college had nearly 1,000 full-time students, with more than 7,000 people taking part-time vocational or adult education courses.
Highlands College is a partner of the universities of Plymouth and London South Bank.
