New parking and bus plan for north of St Helier

More parking and a "hoppa" bus service could be introduced to a large area of St Helier.

The changes to a plan outlining development ideas for the North of Town have been set out by the Planning Minister.

The plan takes in the area surrounding the new town park, and includes areas from Bath Street to the ring road.

Following feedback, Senator Freddie Cohen has included ideas such as a "hoppa" bus to serve that part of town.

The plan also includes a tariff for all developers working in that area.

The money raised from it would be used to make improvements in the area.

More parking spaces have been added for short stay shoppers, increasing to 395.

If the States decides to demolish Minden Place car park, 100 underground spaces will be put there instead.
