A kayaker had to be rescued after becoming trapped on a reef off Jersey's coast.

Jersey's Coastguard asked the Channel Islands Air Search aircraft, Lion's Pride, to be called out just before 21:00 BST on Tuesday.

After searching the area, the kayaker was found on the reef of the Ecrehous group of rocks, to the north east of Jersey.

The kayaker was brought back to shore by the St Catherine's Lifeboat.
