A service which offers help to young people in Jersey has relaunched its website, external in an effort to help more people needing information.

The Youth Enquiry Service offers counselling to those aged between 14 and 25.

The service, which is based at La Motte Street Youth Centre, said it had helped more than 300 young people since it was set up three years ago.

It said young people worry most about money, jobs and relationships.

Vicky Twohig from the service said: "I think sometimes it helps having somebody outside of your friends and family to talk to and somebody who does not know you already and does not know your history.

"We get a lot of young people in who disappear off for six months and then will contact us again later if something has happened, so it is quite nice that they know they have always got us to turn to if they need us."1
