Extra buses for Thursday late night shopping in Jersey

Connex Jersey is putting on extra buses for shoppers on Thursdays up to Christmas.

Many of the St Helier shops are open until 21:00 GMT on 1, 8, 15, 22 December.

Connex is providing extra route 4 services to Trinity Church at 18:35 and 20:15 GMT and route 18 to Le Marais at 19:20 and 21:00 GMT.

The firm said it hoped it would help shoppers to take advantage of the late-night shopping.

Connex Jersey managing director, Eric Le Roux, said: "We have worked hard in conjunction with transport and technical services to develop the level of evening services in the winter.

"I think this year's timetable which features over 30 evening departures every weekday, and additional Friday and Saturday service, shows that the service has been greatly enhanced."
