Channel Island lottery jackpot still not claimed

The winner of the Channel Islands Christmas Lottery still has not come forward to claim their prize.

The winning ticket, number 1455646, drawn on Thursday, was bought in Jersey.

A spokesman for the lottery said as of Monday lunchtime the record breaking £751,500 jackpot had still not been claimed.

This year's draw was thought to have raised more than £400,000 for charities in Jersey.

Lyn Wilton, from the Association of Jersey Charities, said the money was much needed during the financial downturn.

The second prize of £50,000 was claimed in Guernsey.
