Over 50s 'ask for bullying support in Jersey'
- Published
Most of the people asking for help with bullying in Jersey are over 50, according to a councillor running a support scheme.
The States-funded service was set up after a survey found six out of 10 people responding had said they had been bullied at work.
It followed a counselling scheme that helped reduce school bullying.
Alison Fox, who runs the service, said she wanted to empower victims to deal with their problem.
"I am seeing people of all ages and both genders and in numerous situations," Ms Fox said.
"We have seen significant number of people who have experienced bullying or harassment in the workplace."
