Jersey General Hospital to publish standards report

A report on the standards of care at Jersey's General Hospital should be released next week according to the health minister.

The report was written after the death of a 75-year old man following a routine operation.

Joseph Vasse developed an infection and died of multiple organ failure.

Deputy Anne Pryke said she and others were working hard to release the report after calls from Mr Vasse's family and their lawyers.

She hopes to have it available within the next week.
