Jersey Gas prices will rise about 5% from 10 May

Gas prices will rise by about 5% in Jersey from 10 May.

Jersey Gas and Kosangas said they had been forced to increase their tariffs.

John Davies, Jersey Gas commercial director, said it was "as a result of further global increases in wholesale energy prices".

He said the changes would mean it would cost about an extra 19p a day for a typical domestic heating customer but there would be no increase in the standing charge.
