- Published
A record number of tins were collected at this year's Jersey Tinathon.
Organisers said more than 7,500 tins were donated - 2,000 more than the previous record for the event.
It was the fourth year of the event which collects food to support Jersey's Shelter Trust for the Homeless and the Ecce Homo Romania Group.
Michelle Cuthbert, organiser, said: "We are just staggered by people's generosity... and there are still some [tins] to collect."
