Condor sorry for Jersey harbour crash
- Published
Condor Ferries has apologised after one of its ships struck the wall at St Helier harbour.
The Rapide was arriving in Jersey from St Malo and maneouvering into berth when it hit the port earlier.
People on board reported feeling a jolt and were asked by Condor staff if they were all right, but no passengers or crew reported injuries.
The protective fendering on the ferry, designed to absorb the impact like a car bumper, was damaged.
Two drivers also reported minor damage to their vehicles.
Condor said the ship had been thoroughly inspected and services were operating as normal.
