Jersey mobile network JT reports problems

A problem with Jersey's JT telephone network has affected mobile phones.

Engineers from the company said calls, text messages and mobile data from mobile phones across the island were disrupted.

The problem began at 09:10 BST and lasted for about three hours, the company said.

A spokesman for JT said anyone still having problems with their mobile phone should try switching their phone off and on again or call JT on 882882.

Tim Ringsdore, from JT, said customers would not receive compensation for the inconvenience.

He said: "It wouldn't have affected customers in terms of any credit or anything like that so in these circumstances we do apologise but I don't think there will be any requirement for compensation."
