Jersey drug users warned of 'strong heroin' batch
- Published
Drug users in Jersey have been warned of a "batch of strong heroin" that increases the chance of overdose.
An Alcohol and Drug Service spokesman said opiate drug use was always potentially dangerous.
He said this stronger drug was particularly dangerous for anyone who has been reducing their heroin use.
The service advised anyone who was going to use the drug to use half the amount they normally would and not to use it alone.
It also advised users to smoke rather than inject the drug and to only use one drug at a time.
