Man trapped by tree in Jersey taken to hospital

A man was taken to hospital after being trapped under a fallen tree in St Martin, in Jersey.
He was freed by the emergency services on Monday and has now left hospital.
In another incident an honorary police officer was injured by a falling branch on Grouville Hill. He was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital as a precaution.
The strong winds and heavy rain also brought down walls and damaged properties.
The strongest wind was recorded at about midnight with gusts of 62mph.
Several trees fell on Route Orange, the top of Bouley bay hill was blocked as was La Haulle hill, Grouville Arsenal and La Rue Au Blancq St Mary had several trees down.
