A "severely ill" passenger believed to be from Jersey has been evacuated from a cruise ship moored off Guernsey.
The cruise ship, the MSC Opera, was anchored near St Peter Port.
Two St John Ambulance paramedics joined the crew of the RNLI's Daniel L Gibson lifeboat when it was called out at about 13:20 BST on Saturday.
Guernsey Coastguard described the patient as severely ill, although the Princess Elizabeth Hospital would not comment on the patient's status.
Normally the St John Ambulance service would use its own vessel, the Flying Christine III, but it has a broken gear box.
