The calf has a marking on her back resembling the shape of Jersey
A calf has been born at a farm in Jersey with a marking on her back resembling the shape of the island.
The calf, called Fairy, was born on Andrew Le Gallais' farm at Maufant in St Saviour.
Mr Le Gallais said: "I was very surprised to see the markings on the calf - we do not have quite as many broken coloured calves as we used to."
Mr Le Gallais said Fairy has been registered in the Jersey herd book and will be preserved.
The farmer said: "She is a very pretty calf. We are definitely keeping her."

Fairy was sired by a pure Jersey bull from Denmark
The full name of the cow, born on 29 June, is Roseland Aly Fairy.
Roseland is the herd prefix used by Mr Le Gallais, Aly is the name of the sire, a pure Jersey bull from Denmark, and Fairy is her familiar name.
Mr Le Gallais added: "Someone who worked on the farm for many years said the white mark on her head looks similar to the map of Poland."
