Two girls have been rescued from rocks after one fell 33ft (10m) down a gully in Jersey.

The pair had been coasteering and were travelling back to St Brelade when one of them fell down the gully at Le Chemin Des Creux just after 16:00 BST on Sunday.

Lifeguards treated the girl at the scene and 10 firemen used ropes and the service's inshore rescue boat to bring them both to safety.

Her condition is not known.

It is unclear whether the girls were part of an organised group.

Coasteering is an outdoor pursuit along the tide line of coastal areas where people jump and scramble along rocks.
