Jersey shop-fitting company shuts leading to 28 job losses

Nearly 30 jobs have been lost at a Jersey shop-fitting firm which ceased trading due to the death of its owner.
Premier Contracting and Shop-fitting had been trading in Jersey for the past 23 years.
In March, director Richard Brocken, who had been involved in the business since 1992, died suddenly, and his family decided to cease trading.
All 28 staff would be offered professional redundancy support, the firm said.
The Five Oaks company had been involved in a range of projects across the island for the past two decades.
