Boy, 3, critical after being hit by vehicle in Jersey

A three-year-old boy was seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle in Jersey.

Paramedics were called to Millennium Town Park in St Helier at 15:51 BST and later took the boy to Jersey General Hospital.

The boy is visiting the island with his family from the UK mainland and his treatment is ongoing, said Jersey Police.

His condition in hospital has been described as critical.
