A new taxi rank is set to be installed in St Aubin to "ensure a good supply of taxis" at peak times.

The government said it would be put in place by Friday 1 December - "in time for the Christmas party season".

The rank will be located along La Neuve Route by the car park. Taxis will also be able to queue along Wharf Street in St Helier.

It will be active between 18:00 GMT and 00:00 GMT on Friday and Saturday, and between midday and midnight on Sunday.

Taxis will be available on Wharf Street from 22:00 on Friday and Saturday - no cars will be able to park in the area.

Additional taxi ranks were put in place following consultation between the Minister for Infrastructure, the Taxi Drivers Association, Parish of St Brelade, and Parish of St Helier.
