Man arrested following attempted robbery in St Helier

A balaclava-clad man tried to carry out a robbery at a shop in Jersey.

States of Jersey Police said the attempted robbery took place at Morrisons Daily on Queen's Road in St Helier between 18:30 and 19:00 GMT on Friday.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage who was in the area to come forward.

Officers said a 22-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident.
