A new water refill station could be installed in St Aubin.

Jersey Water has put forward a planning application to allow islanders to fill up their water bottles on the footpath at the edge of the village.

The service said it hoped the blue drinking fountain would help people rely less on single-use plastic bottles.

Plans have been put in, but must be approved by the government's planning department before progressing further.
