Romany Café site at Grève de Lecq to host food and activities

The National Trust for Jersey is looking for small food firms and activity providers to bring the site of a derelict café "to life" this summer.
The States Assembly bought the former Romany Café site at Grève de Lecq in February and gifted it to the trust.
The trust is seeking expressions of interest from owners of pop-up eateries and food trucks.
It is also looking for people to help host small events, exhibitions and activities on the site.
A spokesperson for the trust said it wanted to "bring the site to life".
"The trust is enormously grateful to have been given the opportunity to help regenerate this key coastal site for the benefit of our community," they added.
The site was derelict and closed to the public before it was gifted to the trust.
Since then, the trust has restored public access to the beach and reopened the car park.
The trust is now launching a public consultation regarding future uses for the site.
