A woman has died after a car went over a cliff in Jersey on Sunday, police have said.
States of Jersey Police said the crash happened at Corbiere at about 17:00 BST and all three emergency services were called to the scene.
The black Suzuki Swift fell 20ft (6m) over the edge of the public car park and landed on its roof, officers said.
An 84-year-old woman who was inside the car died from her injuries, police said.
The other female occupant of the car was treated in hospital and remained in a stable condition, the force added.
Jersey Fire and Rescue Service said "hydraulic rescue equipment" was used to remove the driver who was trapped inside the car.
It said: "Our teams remained on the scene to secure the area and ensure the vehicle was made safe.
"The operation was carried out with the deployment of two fire appliances, a rescue unit, and the duty officer, in close collaboration with the States of Jersey Police and States of Jersey Ambulance Service."
A crane was brought in to remove the wreckage of the car.
Police said the family of the deceased were being supported by specially trained officers.
It said an investigation into the cause of the crash was ongoing and anyone with information was asked to get in touch.
