Jersey Boat Show 2024: El Galeon among boats on display
- Published
A full-sized replica of a 17th Century Spanish galleon is on display at this year's Jersey Boat Show.
El Galeon, which is nearly 50 metres long, was due to visit the show in 2023 but due to technical difficulties the visit was cancelled.
The Royal Navy is also due to show two patrol vessels used for mine hunting, along with an amphibious armoured all-terrain vehicle.
The three-day show at the St Helier Marina will take place from Saturday.
The show will feature a range of vessels, from paddleboards and kayaks to luxury yachts and motor cruisers.
'Firm favourite'
Paul Savery, from the event sponsor Barclays, said: "With diverse exhibitors and activities for all ages on and off the water, it's a celebration like no other."
There will be displays, stalls, play areas and trips on the water for the anticipated 30,000 visitors.
Jersey's harbourmaster Captain Bill Sadler said the show had become "a firm favourite in many people's calendars, as there really is something for everyone".
