Noriega asks for forgiveness (2015 interview)

Panama’s former military leader Gen Manuel Noriega has died aged 83.

The US authorities turned against their one-time ally after he was charged with drug-trafficking by a court in Florida.

After serving lengthy prison sentences in the US, France and Panama, in 2015 he apologised on Panamanian television for his time in power.
