Arab uprising: Yemeni women still struggling for change

On 17 December 2010, Tunisian vegetable seller Muhammad Bouazizi set himself on fire.

His death sparked a wave of protests across the Arab world - from Tunisia all the way to Syria.

To coincide with the third anniversary of Mr Bouazizi's self-immolation, BBC News returned to the countries affected by the uprisings, to assess the resulting change in the region.

In Yemen, women were at the forefront of the demonstrations in 2011 that eventually ousted long-time President Ali Abdullah Saleh and brought in a new government.

Fayza al-Suleimani told Shaimaa Khalil how the demonstrations were a turning point in her life, and why women are still struggling to be heard three years on.
