Iraqi PM joins celebrations in Mosul after IS defeat
The Iraqi prime minister stood amid cheering crowds in Mosul after declaring victory over so-called Islamic State (IS).
People poured onto the streets after Haider al-Abadi announced the final defeat of the jihadist group in the city.
The battle for Mosul has taken almost nine months, left large areas in ruins, killed thousands of civilians and displaced more than 920,000 others.
